“I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.”

By Father Dan Mahoney      February 16, 2020

This week, Jesus teaches us that he has come to fulfill the law and the prophets. He teaches us what it means to love and calls us to behave and live in a manner worthy of the Kingdom of Heaven. His instruction is for our benefit and eternal salvation.

“We invite you to try Alpha.”

Recordings are witnesses made by Alpha Alumni

Alpha courses have been running at Holy Family for two years now. In that time, we have seen lives transformed by an encounter with Christ and the community of believers - the Church. We share these witnesses with you so that you too might try, or invite others to try an Alpha course and have a life enriching experience.

“A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden.”

By Father Dan Mahoney      February 9, 2020

Faith brings meaning and purpose to life, and ultimately the joy of a full life to all who accept it. Today, Jesus calls us salt and light, commissioning us to share the gift of our faith, enriching the lives of those around us.

“Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

By Father Dan Mahoney      February 2, 2020

As was the custom of the time, Jesus was brought to the temple and dedicated to God. What is a presentation to God is also a presentation to us, as Jesus is revealed to be destined for the fall and rise of many. For he is the light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for the people of Israel.

“Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

By Deacon Michael Orange      January 26, 2020

Today’s Gospel brings us to the start of Jesus’ public ministry. His call to the first Apostles is echoed today as he calls us to follow Him and to become fishers of men - that is - to spread the Gospel with everyone we meet.
