| Mr Bill Hillgrove has been
the play-by-play voice of the Pittsburgh Panthers football team
for 31 years and the basketball voice for 36 years. He was handpicked
by Steeler owner Dan Rooney to replace the retiring Jack Flemming
as the play-by-play broadcaster for the Pittsburgh Steelers..
He is the Sports Director of WTAE-TV, Channel 4, where he once
was an afternoon DJ! Mr Hillgrove Hillgrove, who has been married
for nearly 40 years to his wife Rosette, has two children, Bill
Jr. and Leah. He is native of Pittsburgh and resident of Murrysville,
Mr. Hillgrove graduated from Central Catholic High School and
received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Duquesne University.
He also attended the U.S. Army Information School. He is the
Chairman of the Bill Hillgrove Charity Golf Tournament. |
